Founded in 2004, Silverlane is team of 50 full-time sourcing managers, logistics coordinators, and quality control inspectors all located in offices across China.

We are a practical, no-nonsense team. We do what we say— we make your life easier when you buy products from China.

China is a growing economy with many growing cities that present an opportunity for the trade and purchasing of a variety of products. Silverlane wants to help you be successful when you and your company buy products from China.

The cultural and language barriers and the developing-country mindset mean that handling Chinese suppliers can be a nightmare. There is a severe need for someone to be on the ground manage these factories.

This is where Silverlane comes in. Our company ensures that businesses worldwide, including Australia, UK, or USA can get a reliable product supply from China. By charging a small and fair commission, our business grown with repeat orders.

Our Mission

Our mission as a company is to leave no stone unturned when it comes to finding the best supplier for our customers’ needs. We provide end-to-end service, from sourcing and product development, straight through to quality control and shipping. Our business model revolves around developing and improving our clients’ profitability and competiveness through cost reductions, risk mitigation, and quality assurance. Our growth as a company is built on becoming a vital part of our customer’s supply chain in China.

Our account managers have intimate knowledge across a wide range of manufacturing industries including but not limited to: textiles, home wares, building materials and machinery, electronics. All of our account managers speak a number of languages, and each senior account manager has at least 10 years international trade experience.

The Beginning

Even from the start, our company has been dedicated to the needs of our clients. We would source products for clothing, electronics, furniture, toys— anything where we could buy products at great prices for the demand we were rapidly generating. In our first year alone we took on another 2 account managers to help our growing company. Today, we have 13 in our Shanghai office and still we keep expanding.


Doing business in China, a country with such a rich and deep history, a country that’s developing, can be extremely difficult. Yet our 10 year experience has seen us climb a steep learning curve of doing business in China. What we have learnt, and what China has taught us, has shaped our company to get our clients the results they want.

In the past 7 years we’ve dealt with thousands of factories and worked with thousands of clients; from small start ups, to large publicly listed companies.

We focus on what we set out to do, making life easier for businesses thousands of kilometres away. We help business, whether they are new or a long standing client, with the process of importing.
